Notre Dame shut out Michigan State on February 26th, in the Eck Tennis Pavilion.

AS A SENIOR: Turned in strong senior campaign competing primarily at No. 3 singles and doubles ... went 16-8 during the spring and 26-11 overall in singles and 15-8 during the spring and 23-9 overall in doubles ... turned in a mark of 6-3 against ranked foes throughout the year, and went 6-2 with two unfinished matches over final 10 contests ... won 12 spring matches in straight sets ... defeated two ranked opponents in a row against then-No. 10 Duke and then-No. 64 Northwestern ... took down then-No. 110 Fred Saba of Duke, 6-4, 6-3, before topping then-No. 97 Spencer Wolf of Northwestern, 7-5, 6-2 ... also bested then-No. 103 John Lewis of then-No. 25 Texas A&M, 6-1, 6-4 ... all three ranked wins came on the road ... picked up huge win for the Irish in the NCAA Tournament against Vanderbilt, defeating Jeff Offerdahl, 6-3, 6-3, as Notre Dame won 4-3 to advance to the second round of the tournament ... teamed with Billy Pecor 14-7 in doubles during the spring ... won matches against opponents from ranked foes Wake Forest, Northwestern, Kentucky, Michigan State, Ohio State, Louisville and South Florida ... biggest wins came against then-No. 6 Kentucky's duo of Anthony Rossi and Ryuji Hirooka, 8-6, and then-No. 2 Ohio State's Peter Kobelt and Connor Smith, 8-6 ... turned in an impressive fall in singles going 10-3, which led to a preseason ranking of No. 74 to open the spring season ... advanced to the round of 16 at the Midwest Singles Championships ... went 4-0 at the Gopher Invitational, including a win over then-No. 121 Yannick Weihs, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 ... advanced to quarterfinals of elite Land Rover Napa Valley Tennis Classic after defeating three opponents ... also went 8-1 in doubles during the fall ... went 2-0 at the Illini Invitational, 1-0 at the Land Rover Napa Valley Tennis Classic and 3-0 at the Gopher Invitational ... teamed with Pecor to advance to the round of 16 Midwest Doubles Championship after a pair of wins against opponents from Cleveland State and Michigan State ... named a co-captain prior to the start of the 2011-12 season ... participated in the 2011-12 Rosenthal Leadership Academy ... earned a monogram.

AS A JUNIOR: Posted a record of 11-8 in singles on the season, while going 6-4 on the dual season in split time between No. 4 and 5 singles ... also went 6-3 in doubles action, all during the fall campaign ... recorded two match-clinching points ... named a member of the BIG EAST Academic All-Star team ... opened fall season with three straight singles victories at the Fighting Illini Invitational ... took down Alabama's Ian Chadwell (6-4, 3-6, 6-2) and Ricky Doverspike (3-6, 6-1, 6-2) before defeating Illinois' Bruno Abdelnour (6-3, 6-7, 6-2) ... ended his dual season winning five of last six matches that went to a decision ... defeated Fred Saba of Duke (6-2, 3-6, 6-2) and Bryant Dudzik of Toledo (6-1, 6-4) at No. 4 singles, before moving to No. 5 and winning over Christopher Haysn of Penn State (6-1, 6-1), Fredrik Ask of Wisconsin (2-6, 6-4, 5-2, ret.) and Alejandro Calligari of Louisville (7-6, 6-3) ... teamed primarily with Matt Johnson in doubles action, notching a record of 4-2 with him as partner ... also recorded lone victories with David Anderson and Michael Moore as teammate ... reached semifinals of flight at the Crimson Tide Invitational, taking down Memphis' Johnny Grimal and John Taylor (8-3) in the round of 16 before knocking off Boston College's Brian Locklear and Jonathan Schroeder (8-2) in the quarterfinals ... earned a monogram.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Recorded a 23-4 overall mark in singles play ... spent majority of the season at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions ... defeated Santigao Villegas of #2 Virginia 7-5, 6-3 ... won over #25 Washington's Alex Rosinski in a three-set match ... tied the overall match at 1-1 for the Irish against Illinois when he cruised past Connor Roth at No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-1 ... earned the decisive win against Florida State at fifth singles to clinch the Irish victory ... put the Irish on the board at No. 5 singles with a three-set win over Robert Hall of Louisville, 6-1, 6-7 (4-7), 6-3 ... won at No. 4 singles to keep the Irish comeback hopes alive against Wisconsin when he was able to defeat Chris Freeman 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 ... defeated Georgetown's Will Lowell in a two set match to advance to the BIG EAST semifinals ... clinched the win for the Irish at No. 4 singles over USF's Romain Deri to take the Irish to the BIG EAST Championship ... played in three doubles matches, with a 2-1overall record ... named BIG EAST Player of the Week on March 18 ... earned a monogram.

AS A FRESHMAN: Recognized as a BIG EAST Academic All-Star ... posted a 7-3 dual season singles record with all seven victories coming in straight sets ... began his Irish career with six straight wins ... held a 5-2 record while playing in the No. 6 position and a 2-1 record while occupying the No. 5 position ... most commanding victory came against Marco Ballok, 6-2, 6-2, who represented 12th-ranked Tulsa ... earned a monogram.

HIGH SCHOOL & PERSONAL DATA: Two- year letter winner at Pembroke (Mo.) ... captured six major junior tournaments, including winning individual honors at the USTA National Open, USTA Missouri Valley Sweet 16, USTA Missouri Valley Super 2 and two USTA Missouri Valley Outdoor Futures ... ranked as one of the top-20 high school seniors during his senior year by Tennis Recruiting Network ... son of Bill and Edna Keaton ... oldest of two siblings ... father- played tennis at Yale ... graduated from the Mendoza College of Business with a degree in finance.
