Men's Tennis Concludes Play at Boilermaker Classic

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Notre Dame men's tennis team wrapped up competition at the Boilermaker Classic at Purdue as freshman Adrian Hidaka finished third in the B Flight singles. Hidaka beat Iowa's Ulf Jentler 6-0, 6-3 to finish third. In A Flight singles, freshman James Malhame placed sixth after dropping the fifth-place match to Iowa's J.R. Chidley 4-6, 6-1, 6-1.

In the other section of A singles, sophomore Mark Overdevest beat Iowa's Jason Dunn 6-1, 6-3 to place fifth while sophomore Ashok Raju won 7-6 (7-2), 6-2 over Ball State Tom Gustowski to finish seventh. In the other section of B singles, sophomore Mark Warford lost 6-1, 6-2 to Purdue's Evan Hays to finish fourth.
