Men's Tennis Advances in Carolina Classic

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- Notre Dame senior Eric Enloe and sophomore Ryan Sachire each won opening round singles matches to advance to the quarterfinals of the Carolina Classic, in Chapel Hill, N.C. Sachire won a tight 7-5, 7-5 match over Sebastian Gobbi of Duke while Enloe defeated North Carolina's Aron Breziner 6-3, 6-4 Sachire will face William & Mary's Trevor Spracklin in the quarterfinals while Enloe will play Michigan's David Paradzik. Senior Danny Rothschild lost a 6-7, 7-6, 6-3 heartbreaker to William & Mary's Alex Soefer.

In doubles, the team of Matt Horsley and Ryan Sachire won a pair of 8-4 matches to advance to the semifinals. Vijay Freeman and Dennis Carroll won their opening match 8-6 before falling 8-4.
