Men's Tennis Standout Has Strong Day
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- Notre Dame men's tennis senior Vijay
Freeman won the yellow flight consolation title at the Carolina Classic
with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Ian Boettcher of William & Mary on Sunday.
Irish sophomore Ryan Sachire was defeated in the white flight singles
final by Jon Pastel of Davidson by a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 count.
In doubles action, the Irish duo of Sachire and sophomore Trent
Miller advanced to the finals of the blue flight but were defeated by
Arvid Swan and Brook Blain of Michigan, 8-4.
