Irish Men's Tennis Team Opens Season at Vredevelt Invitational
KALAMAZOO, Mich. ---- Several members of the Notre Dame men's tennis team are competing at the three-day Vredevelt Invitational at Western Michigan University.
In the No. 1 doubles flight, junior Dennis Carroll and sophomore Robert Warn were 1-1 in competition. The duo lost their first match of the day to a doubles tandem from Western Michigan, 9-8, and then beat a team from Wisconsin-Green Bay 8-6.
Luke Warford teamed with a player from Western Michigan in Flight No. 2 doubles, but lost both of his matches by scores of 8-6 and 8-0.
