No. 23 Notre Dame Defeats Tulane
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The 23rd-ranked Notre Dame men's tennis team defeated Tulane 4-1 on Thursday afternoon at the Blue-Gray College Classic in Montgomery, Ala.
The Irish won three of four singles matches before clinching the match by securing the doubles point. Senior Jakub Pietrowski, junior Brian Patterson and sophomore Matt Horsley recorded victories in singles play for Notre Dame.
Danny Rothschild and Vijay Freeman paired up to win at number two doubles while Horsley and Ryan Sachire were victorious at number three doubles for the Irish.
The Irish, which have won seven consecutive matches and are 10-2 overall, play New Mexico tomorrow in day two of the Blue-Gray College Classic.
