No. 23 Notre Dame Defeats Harvard, 4-2
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The 23rd-ranked Notre Dame men's tennis team defeated Harvard 4-2 on Saturday afternoon at the Blue-Gray College Classic in Montgomery, Ala.
The Irish will compete for the tournament championship tomorrow against the winner of the Boise State-Kansas match.
Notre Dame improved to 12-2 overall by winning its ninth consecutive match. The Irish received straight-set singles victories from sophomore Ryan Sachire, junior Brian Patterson and sophomore Matt Horsley.
Notre Dame won two of three doubles matches to earn the doubles team point. Danny Rothschild and Vijay Freeman won 8-6 at number two doubles while Horsley and Sachire won 9-7 at number three doubles.
