Don Casey joined the Monogram Club's presidential rotation as the second vice president in September of 2015. He will serve as president of the Monogram Club from 2019-21.
Casey currently is CEO of Medical Segment at Cardinal Health in Dublin, Ohio. Cardinal Health is a Fortune 20 company, with over 30,000 employees that provide health care solutions across the entire care continuum. Prior to that, he was the inaugural CEO of the West Health Institute, in La Jolla, Calif. Founded by entrepreneurs Gary and Mary West, the West Health Institute is focused of lowering the cost of health care.
Casey also served as Worldwide Chairman for Johnson & Johnson's Comprehensive Care group and member of the Company's Executive Committee, where he oversaw its cardiovascular, diagnostic, diabetes and vision care franchises around the world. He was responsible for defining a corporate-wide comprehensive approach to chronic disease management, including leading the development of patient-centric solutions and innovations within the medical device segment for some of the world's most pervasive conditions, including diabetes and cardiovascular disorders. Casey began his career with Johnson & Johnson in 1985, advancing into executive positions throughout the company's consumer, pharmaceutical and medical device franchises.
Don graduated in 1982 with a B.B.A in Finance and went on to receive an MBA from the University of Notre Dame in 1983. He was Captain of the swim team in 1982. His brother, Brian W. Casey was also a Notre Dame swimmer and captain in 1985 and was named president of Colgate University in August of 2015 . He is married to Ann Casey--a 1983 SMC graduate. They have three daughters, Meghan ('10), Katie ('11), a former Irish swimming & diving captain, and Bridget, who served as a swim captain in 2014-15.
