Ryan Leahy Hometown: Redmond, Wash Position: Director (2009-'12)

Ryan Leahy comes from a family rich in Notre Dame History and represents the third generation of Leahy to play football for the Irish. Legendary coach Frank Leahy was the first in the family to attend and play football for Our Lady's University. His father James, a 1969 graduate of Notre Dame, was a member of the 1966 National Championship football team. His older brother Patrick, also a graduate of the Notre Dame, played baseball for the Irish from 1989-1992. In 1993 Pat was drafted by the Florida Marlins and played baseball professionally from 1993-1997. His younger sister Regan attended the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill on a track scholarship. Other Leahy family members to attend Our Lady's University include John Leahy, Frank Leahy II, Jerry Leahy, and Jack Leahy.

Twice Leahy was elected co-captain of the Irish football squad in 1994 and 1995. Following the `95 season, he received the Edward "Moose" Krause Lineman of the Year Award, which is named after the Notre Dame legend and one of his grandfather Frank's great friends.

Currently, Leahy is an employee/owner of Prime Advisors, Inc. where he holds the title of Vice President of Business Development. Prime Advisors, Inc. is a federally registered investment advisor focused on fixed income asset management for insurance companies. Before joining Prime Advisors, Leahy worked at ABN Amro. There he traded municipal bonds, private placements, VRDN's, and municipal derivatives.

Prior to joining ABN Amro, Leahy played in the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe. He received his BA in Economics from Our Lady's University in 1995 and his MBA in finance and marketing from the Kellogg School of Management in 2007.

Leahy is married to the former Becky Rodell Fitzjarrald, a graduate and past basketball player for Central Washington University. Together they are raising two daughters Reese Elizabeth Leahy, and Reilly Grace Leahy. Their family resides in Redmond, Washington, and attends St. Jude's Catholic Church
