Lance Legree joined the Monogram Club Board of Directors in 2012 to serve a three-year term ending in 2015.
Legree is currently employed by KPMG Advisory, where he is a Senior Associate in the Transaction Services - Strategic Services Group. His role includes providing strategic advisory and commercial due diligence services to Fortune 50 and mid-cap corporations across various industries.
Prior to joining KPMG, Legree worked at the NFL corporate office, where he was a member of the Player Engagement department as Manager of Financial Education. His role primarily included the development of financial education curricula for NFL club programs.
He is a 7-year NFL veteran who played with the New York Giants, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints. After leaving the NFL as a player, he transitioned into the financial world working as a financial advisor with Wachovia Securities and Morgan Stanley, respectively. As a financial advisor, Legree worked with a group that managed financial portfolios for 65 current and former NFL players. His background brought a unique perspective to his role as Manager of Financial Education, having experienced how NFL players manage their finances from the viewpoint of a player and financial professional.
Lance graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2001, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with a triple major in economics, history and computer applications. He earned four Monograms as a member of the football team and started games at nose tackle in each of his four seasons. After his senior year in 2000, he was awarded for his solid play with Notre Dame's Defensive Lineman of the Year award. Legree finished his career with 67 tackles, including 11 for a loss, and four sacks.
During his tenure in the NFL, Legree attended the NFL Business Management and Entrepreneurial Program, participating in the executive management program held at Harvard Business School in 2005 and the Kellogg School of Business, Northwestern University in 2007.
He is also active with the Notre Dame Alumni Chapter of New York, having helped coordinate a 15,000 care package effort for troops in Afghanistan and Iraq during the fall of 2010 in conjunction with Notre Dame's Yankee Stadium game.
Lance is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and is expected to complete the program in May 2012. He resides in Manhattan with his wife, Dr. LaKesha Legree, who is a fourth year anesthesiology resident at New York's Presbyterian Hospital, the Weill Cornell Medical Campus. Formally LaKesha Randolph, LaKesha graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1999 with a B.S. in science pre-professional studies and was a member of the cheerleading team from 1996-98. Lance and LaKesha are expecting their first child in June of this year, a daughter.
