A swimmer for legendary Irish coach Dennis
Stark, Brian Short '72 and '75L served as the
captain of the Notre Dame team 1971-72. Short
received his undergraduate degree in Economics
from Notre and also graduated from its Law
School. Short is the Chief Executive Officer of
Leamington Co., a family owned business with
interest in transportation, community banking,
agriculture production and real estate. He also
serves as a legal mediator and previously served
as a United States Magistrate for the District of
Minnesota. The Minneapolis resident has been
amember of the Advisory Council to the Notre
Dame Law School since 1984 and since 2002
has been a director of C.H Robinson Worldwide,
Inc. Finally, he is a member of the Board of
Allina Hospitals & Clinics and chairs its Audit
and Compliance Committee. In the past he has
served on the Board of Directors of Catholic
Charities, St. Joseph's Home for Children, Saint
Thomas Academy and the William Mitchell
College of Law.
