Mentoring Program FAQ
The Monogram Club in conjunction with the Office of Student Welfare & Development and the Notre Dame Career Center is proud to continue its renowned mentoring program. The program provides current student-athletes with access to former student-athletes (Monogram winners) who can offer them advice and guidance as they prepare for life after college. New in 2011, the program is also being expanded to include member-to-member mentoring, where Monogram winners that have graduated can network with their fellow letter winners.
The mentoring program provides a means for Monogram winners to serve as life coaches to our current student-athletes, while providing an opportunity to give back and reconnect with the athletics department.
"The Monogram Club is pleased to offer our membership this benefit," said Beth Hunter, executive director of the Monogram Club. "Our members have established themselves as successful professionals and are making an impact nation wide. We feel certain that our student-athletes will benefit tremendously from the opportunity to connect with fellow Monogram winners."
"This is something we have been trying to do with the Monogram Club for a very long time and we are very pleased and excited to have this program in place," said Charmelle Green, senior assistant athletics director for student-athlete & development, during the program's beginnings. "Allowing our current student-athletes to connect with past Monogram winners will help them build valuable life skills as they prepare for life after college."
