HONORS AND AWARDS

  • Ranks eighth in program history in the 200 breast (1:56.94)

AS A JUNIOR (2023-24)

  • Went a best time in the 200 breast at ACCs (1:56.94), placing 17th. Also went a best time in 100 breast (55.05) and a season best in the 400 IM (3:52.64)
  • Placed third in the 200 breast (1:58.98), ninth in the 400 IM (3:57.50) and swam in 200 and 400 medley relays at the Tim Welsh Classic.
  • Swam five events against Princeton and Navy — 100 breast (placed fourth/55.51), 200 breast (placed second/1:59.30), 200 IM (placed eighth/1:50.93), 400 IM (placed 11th/3:59.76) and the 400 medley relay. Macy’s 100 breast time of 55.51 was his best of the season
  • Made three finals at the Ohio State Fall Invitational:
    • 100 breast: 55.95, finished 27th
    • 200 breast: 1:57.74, finished 13th
    • 200 IM: 1:49.26, finished 27th
    • Also notched a U.S. Open cut in the LCM prelim of the 200 breast (2:19.22)
  • Swam the 100 and 200 breast against Louisville. Took third in the 200 (2:02.45) and seventh in the 100 (57.28)
  • Took third in the 200 breaststroke (2:03.50) against Purdue. Also competed in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM
  • Finished seventh in the 100 breaststroke (57.25) and fifth in the 200 breaststroke (2:03.70) at Wisconsin

AS A SOPHOMORE (2022-23)

  • Finished 22nd in the 200 breaststroke (1:57.52) and 24th in the 400 IM (3:52.37) at ACCs, also participated in the 100 breast (55.31)
  • Finished third in the 200 breast (2:02.10) against Louisville
  • Won the B final in the 200 breast (1:58.07) at the Ohio State Invitational

AS A FRESHMAN (2021-22)

  • Finished second in the 100 breaststroke (56.62) in the dual meet against UIC.
  • Placed fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:01.42), sixth in the 200 IM (1:50.78) and ninth in the 400 IM (3:59.83) at the Tim Welsh Classic.
  • Best finish at the Ohio State Invitational came in the 200 breaststroke finals (2:01.55) as he finished 19th in the event.
  • Placed fifth in the 200 breaststroke (2:03.44) and seventh in the 100 breaststroke (58.18) in the dual meet against Purdue.
  • Finished sixth in the 200 IM (1:54.70) and the 200 breaststroke (2:04.45) and seventh in the 100 breaststroke (58.03) in his first collegiate meet against Pittsburgh and Cleveland State.

PREP AND PERSONAL

  • Finished sixth in the 200 IM and ninth in the 100 Breast at the 2019 CIF Southern Section Division I Championship with All-American consideration times in both
  • Swam a 2:17.55 in the 200 Breast for an Olympic Trial cut
  • Swam at the 2019 US Open in the 200 Breast and 400 IM
  • Notched six personal records at College Station Sectionals; also swam at the Phillips 66 Nationals
  • Swam for Irvine Novaquatics
  • Majoring in finance with a minor in sustainability
  • Parents are Joanna and Ryan, has one brother, Logan.
