Notre Dame Women's Basketball Team to Appear Twice on Eight-Game Big East Television Package
Notre Dame, Ind. --- The Notre Dame women's basketball team, coming off
an NCAA Final Four appearance in 1997, will appear twice on the eight-game BIG
EAST television package during the 1997-98 season.
Irish contests against Connecticut on December 6 at the Joyce Center and
versus Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass. on January 17, will be televised.
Both game times have been rescheduled from previous announced scheduling. The
Notre Dame-Connecticut matchup, originally slated for a 2:00 p.m. tipoff, will
now begin at noon, while the start time of the Notre Dame-Boston College game
has been changed to 6:00 p.m. (originally scheduled for 2:00 p.m.).
Both BIG EAST Championship semifinal contests on March 2 also will be
televised. Rutgers University will host the 1998 league tournament which will
be held at the Louis Brown Athletic Center in Piscataway, N.J.
