    NCAA Championship
    Raleigh Region - Second Round
    • This was the second meeting between Notre Dame and California. With the victory the Irish now lead the series, 2-0. The first and only meeting took place on March 18, 2007 in the first round of the NCAA Championship. The Irish were victorious, 62-59.
    Notre Dame
    • With the victory, the Irish advance to the NCAA Championship Round of 16 for the 10th time in program history.
    • Irish head coach Muffet McGraw and the Irish bettered their all-time NCAA Championship record to 34-17.
    • The tie score, 31-31, at halftime was the fifth time that the Irish were not winning at the break. Notre Dame is 3-2 in such games.
    • The Irish outrebounded the Golden Bears, 40-35, moving Notre Dame to 30-0 when outrebounding an opponent.
    • With their first-round victory over Liberty, the Irish lay claim to a victory in 15 separate tournaments during their 17-consecutive NCAA appearance streak, dating back to 1996.

    • Her 28 point effort was her 29th double-digit point performance of the season and 76th of her career.
    Devereaux Peters (Sr./F)
    • Set career high in blocks with a seven-block performance and chipped in 11 points and 14 rebounds to tally her 11th double double of the season.
    Skylar Diggins (Jr./G)
    • Scored 21 points (29th double-figure scoring game in season, 85th in career), dropped four assists and added two steals.
    California
    • With the loss, the Golden Bears finish the season at 25-10 and California falls to 5-8 in NCAA Championship play, while head coach Lindsay Gottlieb's record in the NCAA Championship drops to 1-2.
    • The tie score, 31-31, at halftime was the 11th time that the Golden Bears were not winning at the break. California is 4-7 in such games.
    Gennifer Brandon (So./F)
    • Pulled down double-digit rebounds (12) for the 14th-time this season, while chipping in nine points.
    Layshia Clarendon (Jr./G)
    • Scored a team high 17 points, her 24th double-figure scoring output this season, and also tallied four assists and three steals.
