Notre Dame Falls to No. 15 Wisconsin
MADISON, Wis. - LaTonya Sims totaled 20 points and seven rebounds and Katie
Voigt added 18 and six to lead 15th-ranked Wisconsin to an 89-77
victory over Notre Dame.
Kelley Paulus chipped in 16 points, while Ann Klapperich tallied
all 10 of her points in the first half when Wisconsin (6-0)
opened up a 48-32 lead. The Badgers made more free throws
(30-of-39) than Notre Dame attempted (13-for-20). Dee Dee Pate
had seven of Wisconsin's 18 steals.
Sheila McMillen and Niele Ivey each tallied 16 points for Notre
Dame (3-4), which committed 28 turnovers and 32 personal fouls.
Danielle Green contributed 14 points and six boards as the Irish
managed to win the battle of the boards, 40-36.
