NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The No. 2 Notre Dame women’s basketball team will spend over a week at home when the Irish kick off a three-game homestand on Sunday starting with Boston College. The Irish (15-2, 4-1) battle the Golden Eagles (6-10, 1-2) at 1 p.m. ET inside Purcell Pavilion, streaming live on ACCN Extra.

Notre Dame is 20-5 all-time vs Boston College, and are the winners of 10 straight. In addition, the Irish are an unblemished 12-0 at home against the Golden Eagles.

WHO’S HOT
Jackie Young has reached double-digits in three straight games, shooting 54.1 percent from the field in that span (20-of-37). At No. 3 Louisville, Young played all 40 minutes, and for the third time this season, hit her career high mark of 23 points.

In conference play only, Young ranks in the top-15 in six different categories, which leads all Irish: 12th in scoring (16.0), 12th in field goal percentage (.524), 11th in assists (3.8), 13th in steals (1.8), 6th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.6) and 6th in minutes (36.4).

DOUBLE-DIGIT POINTS & BEYOND
Ogunbowale’s streak of double-digits came to an end at 16 at No. 3 Louisville on Jan. 11. When dating back to the end of last season, Ogunbowale’s streak was at 25 games.

Next, Jackie Young, who tallied 11 double-digit point games as a freshman, has already surpassed that total with 13 on the year. Young is fresh off of tying her career high of 23 points, marking her fifth game in which she has reached the 20-point plateau.

Shepard and Mabrey each scored in double figures at Louisville, marking their 13th and 12th games in double figures, respectively.

WOODEN AWARD MIDSEASON TOP-25 LIST
The John R. Wooden Award presented by Wendy’s named Ogunbowale to its Midseason Top-25 list this past Thursday. The Wooden Award is given annually to the most outstanding men's and women's college basketball players.

Ogunbowale was one-of-four players from the Atlantic Coast Conference named to the prestigious list. This season, Ogunbowale is averaging 19.8 points per game, which ranks third in the ACC and 40th in the nation.

HOME COOKING
Purcell Pavilion has become one of the toughest venues for opposing teams to play in. Last year, the loyal lime-green fans made sure the Irish ranked sixth nationally in average attendance (8,104).

Notre Dame is 456-92 all-time inside Purcell Pavilion, good for an .831 winning percentage. In addition, the Irish currently boast a 16-game win streak at home.

Most notably, however, has been how dominant the Irish have been in league play at home. Notre Dame has won a school-record 44 consecutive home conference games, beginning with a 66-47 win over Providence on Feb. 14, 2012, in BIG EAST play.

CAREER VS BOSTON COLLEGE
Both Marina Mabrey and Arike Ogunbowale average double-figures in their careers vs Boston College. Mabrey has totaled 44 points over four games for an 11.0 points per game average. Meanwhile, Ogunbowale has netted 41 points for a 10.3 ppg average.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Boston College enters with a 6-10 overall record and a 1-2 mark in ACC play. The Golden Eagles started conference play with an 89-58 loss at Virginia Tech, bounced back with a 77-64 win over North Carolina, then fell 68-57 to Virginia.

Milan Bolden-Morris leads the way with 13.4 points per game on 42.8 percent shooting from the field and a 40.2 percent mark from three-point range.
