NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Notre Dame women's basketball program has announced time additions and changes for a handful of its games during the 2010-11 season. The majority of these moves are the additions of tipoff times for road games, although there also is one time change for a home game.

The start time for the Fighting Irish season opener on Nov. 12 against New Hampshire inside Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center has been moved one-half hour later than originally announced, with the game now slated to tip off at 4 p.m. (ET). At halftime of that game, Notre Dame will hold a special ceremony to recognize the 10th anniversary of its 2001 NCAA national championship team, with many of the members of that Fighting Irish squad scheduled to return to campus for the celebration, which includes a pre-game autograph session and other special events.

The host teams for six of Notre Dame's road contests (including five BIG EAST Conference games) also have declared the start times for their matchups with the Fighting Irish. On Dec. 8, Notre Dame will open its BIG EAST schedule against Providence with a 7 p.m. (ET) game at Alumni Hall in Providence, R.I.

Twelve days later on Dec. 20, the Fighting Irish will renew their Indiana Toll Road rivalry with Valparaiso, heading west to take on the Crusaders at 7:05 p.m. CT (8:05 p.m. ET) inside the Athletics-Recreation Center.

Notre Dame begins its BIG EAST docket in earnest on Jan. 5, traveling to Marquette for a 7 p.m. CT (8 p.m. ET) game at the Al McGuire Center in Milwaukee. Ten days later on Jan. 15, the Fighting Irish will square off with Pittsburgh at 2 p.m. (ET) from the Petersen Events Center in the Steel City.

The other two time changes for Notre Dame involve Saturday night games -- on Jan. 29 at Villanova (The Pavilion) and one week later on Feb. 5 at South Florida (Sun Dome). Both contests are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. (ET).

The Fighting Irish, who began preseason practice on Thursday, have two starters and eight monogram winners returning for the program's 34th season in 2010-11, joined by a three-player freshman class that has been ranked as high as ninth in the country by some media outlets. Notre Dame is coming off a 29-6 season that saw it rise to No. 3 in the national polls and advance to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the eighth time in the past 14 years.

Season tickets for the 2010-11 Notre Dame women's basketball campaign are available by contacting the Murnane Family Ticket Office by phone (574-631-7356) or in person (Gate 9 in the Rosenthal Atrium at Purcell Pavilion) from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) weekdays.
