FALL OF 2001: Did not compete in the fall because she was
studying abroad.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Rowed as part of third varsity eight crew most
of the spring ... boat was third in the second varsity eight race versus
Tennessee to open the spring ... was third against Michigan State in the
second varsity eight race, rowing in the fourth seat ... was second against
Dayton in second varsity eight race ... was third at the Indiana Cup as a
member of the third varsity eight ... rowed in the lightweight four boat
to open the season at the Chicago Chase, placing fourth ... was also
fourth as a member of the second lightweight four at the Head of the
Rock ... finished fifth at the Head of the Grand as a member of second
varsity four crew ... competed in Notre Dame's third varsity eight boat
which placed 18th at the Head of the Elk Regatta to close out the fall
season.
AS A FRESHMAN: Rowed as a member of the novice squad ... rowed
in the stroke seat of the second novice eight vessel most of the season
... won the second novice eight championship at the Georgetown
Invitational ... won the Georgetown Invitational by over nine seconds
.... placed fourth out of 11 boats in the second novice eight race at
the SIRA Championships in Oak Ridge, Tenn. ... placed fifth overall in
the second novice eight grand final at the Midwest Rowing Championships
in Madison, Wis. ...rowed in second novice eight at the Central Region
Championships, placing fifth in the grand finals.
PREP AND PERSONAL: Earned eight letters in three different
sports at Oak Forest High School (two in tennis, two in basketball and
four in badminton) ... was team captain of both the tennis and badminton
teams ... was voted MVP her senior season in both tennis and badminton
... also earned MVP honors her junior season in tennis and was named
all-conference both her junior and senior seasons in the sport ... was
fourth in doubles at the regional meet in tennis and third at the same
meet in badminton ... a member of the National Honor Society, Student
Council, Varsity Club, French Club, Literary Magazine,
Youth-In-Government and the Academically Talented Program .... one of
three children ... sister Amy graduated from Notre Dame in 1996 ...
sister Erica was on the track and field team at DePauw University ...
