PREP AND PERSONAL: Earned 12 letters in three different sports at Villa Joseph Marie H.S. (four in cross country, four in track and four in lacrosse)…was team captain of cross country her junior and senior seasons and track her sophomore, junior and senior seasons…conference champions in lacrosse all four years…set the record for 3200m relay in indoor track…was Mid-Atlantic Yacht Racing Association Champ for three years (sailing)…second-place junior in North American Sunfish Championship and qualified for the World Sunfish Championships…a member of the National Honor Society, Community Service Corps Coordinator of Special Events, Aid for Friends Coordinator, Coordinator of Missionary Trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic, Peer Counselor, Founder of Pro-Life Club, Diocesan Scholar and Competitive National Irish Step Dancer…was valedictorian of her class…one of three children…her brother John Patrick is currently enrolled at Notre Dame and sails at Notre Dame…her mother Jane lettered in swimming and field hockey at West Chester University and coached swimming at the University of Rochester…parents are Jane and John Gibbons…born March 9, 1983, in Meadowbrook, Pa. …enrolled in First Year of Studies. |
