April 6, 2000

South Bend, Ind. - The 2000 Indiana Championships rowing regatta schedule for Saturday, April 8, in West Lafayette, Ind., has been postponed until Sunday, April 9, due to low water conditions on the Wabash River. With rain forecasted for both Friday and Saturday, the regatta will take place on Sunday at 10 a.m.

The Indiana Championships will feature Notre Dame, Purdue and Indiana. Rowing is becoming one of the fastest growing sports in the Midwest as Notre Dame is a second-year varsity program, while Indiana is a first-year varsity program and Purdue sponsors rowing as a club sport.
