Notre Dame, Ind. - Notre Dame head rowing coach Martin Stone announced today the signing of Danielle Stealy to a national letter of intent. Stealy will be eligible to row for the Irish this fall.

"I am excited about Danielle joining our program," Stone said.

"She is a multi-sport athlete and has made tremendous strides in rowing this spring. She is a great addition to our incoming class."

Standing an imposing 5-11, Stealy is a native of Culver, Ind. She is a three-sport star at Culver Girls Academy playing volleyball, as well as swimming and rowing.

Stealy joins Meghan Boyle (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Melissa Felker (Bellevue, Wash.), Jenna Froberg (Snohomish, Wash.), Sarah Palandech (Lakenheath, United Kingdom) and Fallon Shields (Duxbury, Mass.) to form the Notre Dame class of 2006.
