The Notre Dame rowing team is ranked 15th nationally in the latest US Rowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association poll released today. Washington continues to hold the top spot with 13 first-place votes and 393 points. Brown is second with the seven remaining first-place votes and 387 points, Ohio State stayed in third with 356 points, while Yale moved up two spots to fourth with 328 points and Michigan holds on to fifth with 324 points. Harvard, Princeton, Cal, USC and Michigan State round out the top 10.
Notre Dame has its biggest weekend of the year when it travels to Oak Ridge, Tenn., May 18-19 for the 2002 Central Regions. All teams in the Central and South Region will participate in the weekend's regatta.
