Women's Golf
Begins her second season as a member of Notre Dame’s women’s golf program...did not play in any tournaments during her freshman year...continues to work on her game as she looks to join the Irish travel squad this spring ... her home course is Brookside Golf Course while her local pro is Allen Martin.
AS A SOPHOMORE (Fall of 2000): Saw the first action of her career playing as an individual entrant in the Notre Dame Invitational where she tied for 50th with a 264 (93-82-89) ... finished in an 11th place tie at the 2000 fall Campus Championship at the Warren Golf Course with rounds of 93-82 (175) ... had an 83.75 average over three rounds in her first action.
AS A FRESHMAN: Was 12th among 16 entrants in the 1999 fall Campus Championship, at South Bend’s Blackthorn Golf Club.
PREP & PERSONAL: Played four years of varsity golf at LaSalle High School, where she was coached by Craig Hill, Todd Loughrie and Jim Loughrie ... advanced to the state championship as an individual entrant during her freshman, sophomore and senior years ... played in the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship during the summer of 1997, at PGA National in West Palm Beach, Fla. ... also invited to play in Florida State Championship Invitational during the summer of 1998 ... received LaSalle’s Principal Scholar-Athlete Award ... also was inducted into the LaSalle Hall of Fame ... member of high school dance team and peer tutoring program ... also served as statistical manager for LaSalle basketball team ... born Sept. 10, 1981, in Santa Monica, Calif. ... daughter of Richard and Teresa Siggins ... full name is Nina Rose Siggins ... enrolled in the School of Arts and Letters with a major in sociology.
