The 23rd-ranked University of Notre Dame women's golf team finished eighth in a field of 15 at the 54-hole SMU Dallas Athletic Club Invitational on the Dallas Athletic Club's par-72 course Sunday afternoon with a three-day team total of a 71-over-par 935 (319-309-307).

The Irish improve to 104-32-0 on the season and extend its conference record to 5-0 after Notre Dame held off ninth-place Louisville by 10 strokes.

Notre Dame moves to 4-0 on the season against Wisconsin and 2-0 against Nebraska. The Irish now hold a 19-4 record over the BIG TEN through nine tournaments played.

As Notre Dame improved each round, the Irish finalized the third day with the fourth-best round in the field (307), tying No. 35 Denver.

"I thought we played well through the weather conditions yet again as inclement weather was present throughout the entire tournament," said Notre Dame head coach Susan Holt.

"The pin placements were quite tough along with the weather and I thought we played through both of those factors quite well," said Holt. "All-in-all I am pleased with our effort."

No. 19 Oklahoma State won the tournament, carding a 32-over-par 896 (305-295-296), holding off No. 4 Oklahoma by five strokes as the Sooner shot a 37-over-par 901 (295-310-296).

Oklahoma State's Julie Yang took home medalist honors carding a six-under-par 210 (70-68-72) and remained as the only participant to fire under par for the entire tournament. No. 15 Chirapat Jao-Javanil (Oklahoma) was the tournament runner-up with a one-over-par 217 (69-77-71).

Freshman Talia Campbell(Dallas, Texas) picked up her fourth top-10 finish this season as she tied for 10th with Denver's Rachael Watton.

The Irish rookie concluded her homecoming weekend with a 12-over-par 228 (80-76-72).

Campbell improved by seven stokes on the front nine during the third round comparative to her first round score.

The freshman gathered four birdies during the final day and parred 10 holes to achieve her fifth even or under par round this season.

Sophomore Ashley Armstrong(Flossmoor, III.) notched her fourth-straight top-25 finish and 11th of her career after carding a 14-over-par 230 (78-73-79), finishing tied for 16th.

Armstrong made birdie on hole 10 (par 4) and hole 16 (par 3) in her final round parring seven holes.

Campbell and Armstrong each advanced past the No. 2 player in country, Kelsey Vines (73-77-80-230) from Oklahoma State who tied for 16th among the 78 competitors. The duo additionally took down four top-100 ranked foes, including No. 54 Jenny Haglund from SMU.

Junior Kristina Nhim(Cypress, Calif.) pulled in her best finish of the season after she tied for 26th. Nhim shot an 18-over-par 234 (79-78-77), nearing a top-25 finish by a single stroke.

The junior capped off the final day making birdie on hole eight (par 4) and parring six straight holes on the back nine.

    Sophomore Kelli Oride(Lihue, Hawaii) shot a seven-over-par 79 on the final day for a three-round total of a 27-over-par 243 (82-82-79).

The sophomore tied for 46th after beginning the day tied for 54th place.

Oride made birdie, just two holes into her final round, on the par 4 measuring 333 yards. The birdie was her only one of the day and fourth of the tournament.

Posting a five over through the introductory nine holes, the sophomore developed a strong finish on the front as she parred her last six holes before turning in her scorecard.

Oride's two-over-par score on the front nine was her best performance through that stretch during the 54-hole tournament.

The Irish take a two-week break before entering their post-season schedule as they compete next in the BIG EAST Championship, April 21-23, in Orlando, Fla. at the Reunion Resort and Golf Club.
