THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Notre Dame Women's Golf Team placed ninth at the Jim West Challenge, which wrapped up Monday afternoon on the Fazio Course at The Club at Carlton Woods.
The Irish shot a final round 296 to finish at eight-over par for the tournament (282-294-296-872). Florida State won the team title (840/-24), followed by Kent State (847/-17). On the individual leaderboard, FSU's Matilda Castren took medalist honors by shooting a 13-under par 203. Castren bested Kent State's Pimnipa Panthong by one stroke.
PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT
Notre Dame senior Jordan Ferreira fired a one-under par 71 in Monday's final round to tie for 26th. She finished the tournament at one-over par (71-75-71-217). Her final round included birdies on the third, 13th and 16th holes.
Ferreira's 217 total was one stroke more than her career-best 36-hole total of 216, which she carded at the Westbrook Spring Invitational in 2014-15.

IN THE STATS
Sophomore Isabella DiLisio played the Par 4's at one-under par for the tournament, tying for the 12th-best mark in the field.
The Irish are back in action next week when they tee it up at the University of Texas' Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational on Oct. 17-18.

A native of Walpole, Massachusetts, Colleran spent the previous three years working with the men's hockey and soccer programs at Providence College.
