Callahan's Five Goals Propels Notre Dame to 16-13 Victory over Stanford
STANFORD, Calif. - Junior attack Kerry Callahan scored five goals to lead the Notre Dame women's
lacrosse team to a 16-13 victory over Stanford. With the win, the Irish improve to 2-0 on the
season.
Callahan's five goals are the second most she has scored in a single game during her career. Last
season, she scored six goals in Notre Dame's 19-13 win over the Cardinal. Freshman Kathryn Perrella
and Maura Doyle added three goals, while another freshman, Lael O'Shaughnessy scored twice in the
win.
Notre Dame returns to action on Friday, March 15 when the Irish face the University of Denver
in Denver, Colo. at 1:00 p.m.
