Baltimore, Md. - Notre Dame senior goalkeeper Jen White (Annapolis, Md.) has been selected to the Brine/Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) third team All-American team for the 2003 season. This marks the second consecutive season that the Irish have had a player selected as an All-American in the seven-year history of the program. She joins Danielle Shearer (Sr., Hampstead, Md.) and Kathryn Lam who were selected second team All-Americans in 2002.

The talented goalkeeper turned in a solid season in goal for the Irish in 2003. She was 8-7 on the year with a 9.86 goals-against average and a .504 save percentage in 15 starts on the year. White turned in career-best save performances versus Cornell (16) and Georgetown (19), stopping five of 10 free-position shots versus the Hoyas in an overtime loss. The backbone of a young defensive corps, she kept the Irish in games until the high-powered offense would take over. A second team all-Mid-Atlantic Region and all-BIG EAST selection, the senior goalkeeper finished her career as Notre Dame's all-time leader in games played (53), wins (31), saves (432) and goals-against average (8.79) after being the team's starter in goal for three consecutive seasons.

The Irish finished the season with an 8-7 overall record and were 4-2 in the BIG EAST, good for third place. Notre Dame finished the season ranked 16th in the IWLCA polls.
