Women's Outdoor Track
AS A FRESHMAN: Did not compete during the 2002 track and field season. HIGH SCHOOL & PERSONAL DATA: Earned four letters as one of the top sprint specialists to ever compete at San Marcos High School in San Marcos, Texas ... also earned two letters in basketball ... earned track and field team MVP honors all four years of high school competition ... dominated in the 100- and 200-meter races across her area of Texas ... made four-straight appearances at the Texas Relays ... competed at the 1999 Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympics, helping her 4x100 relay team earn a silver medal ... advanced to the state championship meet her senior season and finished fourth in the 100 meters and fifth in the 200 meters ... set school records in the 100 (11.7) and 200 (24.2) meters as well as the 4x100 relay ... earned all-district honors as a guard on the San Marcos basketball team her junior season ... was also named defensive MVP of the team ... member of the National Honor Society and the Gifted and Talented Society ... born Dec. 5, 1982 in San Marcos, Texas ... enrolled in the First Year of Studies. |
