JoAnna Deeter Finishes 15th in the 3,000 meters at NCAA Championships
INDIANAPOLIS - Notre Dame sophomore JoAnna Deeter, seeded 15th of out 17 runners, placed 15th in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:50.24 at the NCAA indoor track and field championships. Deeter, a cross country All-American after finishing third in 1996 as a freshman at the NCAA cross country championships, was making her first appearance in the NCAA indoor track and field championships.
Texas won the won women's team championships while Arkansas won the men's championships. Notre Dame's men's team finished tied for 60th after Errol Williams placed eighth in the 55-meter hurdles on Friday.
