Women's Rowing
IN THE FALL: Did not compete. AS A JUNIOR: Missed 2003-04 season studying abroad. AS A SOPHOMORE: Rowed in the three seat of the varsity four for most of the spring season ... named to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team ... placed third in the petite finals at Central Sprints ... finished third at the prestigious Windermere Cup ... won first by over 11 seconds at the BIG EAST Rowing Challenge ... placed second against Michigan State and first against Iowa ... rowed in the second varsity eight at the beginning of the spring campaign ... finished first at the Indiana Classic, second against Tennessee and first versus Clemson ... in the fall, rowed as a part of the third varsity eight, sitting five seat ... placed third to two other Irish boats at home against Kansas ... finished in seventh place at Head of the Rock ... rowed in the second seat of the second varsity four at the Head of the Rock, finishing first, almost two seconds ahead of Minnesota ... member of the varsity four that won at the Head of the Ohio. AS A FRESHMAN: Rowed as a member of the novice team for the 2001-02 season, rowing in the first novice eight ... sitting in the five seat, was second in heat one, first in repechage one and third in the finals at Central Regions ... gave the Irish their highest finish of third place at Central Regions, finishing in 7:07.5 ... it was the first time Notre Dame won a medal at the Central Region regatta ... team finished fourth out of 19 teams at Central Regions ... was first in heat two and second in the finals at BIG EAST Rowing Challenge, sitting in seat three ... rowed in seat three at Tennessee ... beat the Lady Vols by over 14 seconds with a time of 7:26.40 ... in the fall, her boat finished third at the Head of the Eagle, sitting in the five seat. PREP AND PERSONAL: Earned eight letters in three different sports at Mars Area High School (three in soccer, three in basketball and two in track) ... was team captain of basketball and soccer her senior year and also of basketball her junior season ... voted MVP her senior year in soccer ... named all-conference in soccer her senior season ... soccer team was undefeated her junior and senior seasons and conference champion her sophomore, junior and senior years and regional champion her senior season ... was conference qualifier for track in discus senior year ... a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Club, French Club, Senior Class Council, Key Club, editor of the school newspaper and REACH/SADD ... one of four children ... parents are Janet and Tim Donnelly ... father Tim Donnelly graduated from Notre Dame in 1978 ... born Nov. 13, 1982, in Peoria, Ill. ... enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business, majoring in accounting ... has made the Dean's List three times while at Notre Dame ... member of Notre Dame's Academic Honors Program. |
