IN THE FALL: Rowed as a member of the first varsity eight, sitting in the sixth seat ... first eight placed fourth at the Head of the Rock ... placed 29th in the Championship Race at the Head of the Charles ... was first-ever appearance for Notre Dame at the Head of the Charles.

AS A JUNIOR: Missed the fall season studying abroad before returning as a member of the second varsity four for the spring season ... earned her second monogram in 2003-04 ... was a member of the BIG EAST Academic All-Star team for the second time in her career ... won the first gold medal in Notre Dame history at the Central Regions with a victory in the second four ... boat won by over four seconds (7:20.40) in defeating Ohio State for the gold ... also won a gold medal in the second four at the BIG EAST Rowing Challenge ... crew won its race by over 32 seconds as the Irish won three golds on the day and placed second to Syracuse in the team race ... was the lone crew to win against Michigan State, winning by almost 12 seconds over the Spartans ... second four was runner up to Notre Dame's "A" crew against Dayton ... rowed as a member of the first varsity four at the Indiana Classic, taking first ... also rowed in the first four against national power Michigan, winning best two of three against Wolverines ... also recorded wins over Tennessee and North Carolina.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Named to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team ... earned her first monogram as a member of the Notre Dame rowing team ... rowed in the second varsity eight in the spring season ... came in fifth in the finals at Central Regions ... placed second in the finals at BIG EAST, finishing first in the heats ... came in second out of four boats at the Indiana Crew Classic ... sat in the fourth seat of the second varsity eight boat at San Diego Crew Classic, placing third in their heat and finishing sixth in the petite final ... in the fall, rowed in the fifth seat of the fourth varsity eight at the Chicago Chase and the Head of the Rock ... placed 10th at the Chicago Chase ... was a member of the Notre Dame Academic Honors Program matching current student-athletes with mentors from their academic field of study.

AS A FRESHMAN: Was a member of the novice roster in 2000-01 ... sat in the fifth seat of the novice eight boat which placed fifth at the Head of the Elk ... also competed in the open eight race, placing 23rd in Elkhart ... was in the fifth seat in the winning novice eight against Tennessee ... boat also won at Michigan State and Dayton ... also won at Indiana Cup, outdistancing the field by almost eight seconds ... won its heat at the Midwest Rowing Championship before the finals were cancelled due to inclement weather ... novice eight lost its first race of the season at the BIG EAST Rowing Challenge ... placed third in the petite final heat at the Central Region.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Was a seven-time letterwinner in track and field and cross country at Houston High School ... led prep team to county cross country championship ... earned a top four finish at county meet two of three seasons ... member of Memphis Best of Preps all-city team every year she participated ... ran the anchor leg of the 4x800 relay team which set the school record as a sophomore ... was a member of the Community Alliance to Serve Hispanics ... one of four children for John and Carol Hazen ... father John played football at the Air Force Academy ... brother Zach is a member of track and field team at the University of Colorado where he throws the discus ... from the same hometown as former Irish all-region rower Katherine Burnett ... born Oct. 26, 1981, in Anchorage, Alaska ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters ... has an overall grade-point average of 3.694 ... has been on the Dean's List six of seven semesters at Notre Dame.
