Women's Rowing took on Tulsa on October 29th, 2010.
AS A JUNIOR: Rowed for the third varsity eight boat for the Irish this season ... earned first monogram ... finished third against Ohio state (7:24.46), then raced a winning time of 7:02.88 against Purdue the next day ... continued her season at the BIG EAST Invite winning both races, defeating Iowa and Rutgers (7:14.00), and Iowa and West Virginia (8:02.30) ... won the prelims (6:55.967), and took home the grand final victory at the BIG EAST Championship with a time of 7:04.39 to finish the season.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Rowed in multiple boats during the spring season for the Irish ... kicked off her spring with a first place finish (6:28.9) over Buffalo in third varsity eight - lightweight ... went on to race in the second varsity four boat in Indianapolis where she finished third (7:48.9) behind a second Notre Dame boat and Indiana ... crossed the finish line second at 8:08.29 in the second varsity four at the BIG EAST Championship behind Georgetown ... a member of the Notre Dame varsity eight "4" vs. Tulsa that took sixth place, crossing the line at 15:11.3.
AS A FRESHMAN: Raced for majority of spring with the novice eight boat ... in two heats with Buffalo, earned a third-place fin- ish (5:36.5) and a first-place result (5:30.5) ... finished third in a meet against Michigan and Michigan State, crossing the line at 7:07.8 ... won a heat against Indiana, Buffalo, Purdue and Eastern Michigan after setting the mark at 7:49.9 ... notched a pair of runner-up results against USC and UCLA, finishing at 7:20.36 against the Trojans and 8:12.67 against the Bruins ... moved to the novice four boat at the BIG EAST Championships, finishing second place in the grand final at 8:51.112 ... helped novice eight boat earn a spot in the grand final at the Central/South Sprints, finishing in sixth place with a mark of 7:00.76 ... at the Head of the Rock, competed in both the collegiate eight and novice eight races ... finished 21st in the collegiate eight race, crossing the line at 18:09.89 ... later helped her novice eight crew finish in seventh place with a time of 18:41.81 ... competed in flight one of novice eight races at Notre Dame's home meet against Indiana, Iowa and Michigan State, finishing in fourth place with a time of 14:31.40 ... named to the BIG EAST All- Academic Team.
PREP AND PERSONAL: Competed in tennis, volleyball and basketball at Silver High School, earning a total of 10 varsity let- ters ... was selected as an all-city member in tennis all four years, while being named the same in volleyball during her sophomore and junior seasons ... member of the National Honor Society and Student Council ... born in Silver City, N.M. ... daughter of Antonio Orosco and Anne LaMair ... has one sibling, Genevieve ... enrolled in the College of Science as a science-business major.
