No. 13 Notre Dame defeats No. 8 Michigan in pair of varsity eight contests
FALL 2012: Rowed with the Irish varsity eight at the Head of the Charles Regatta, helping the crew to a 12th-place finish ... the regatta field included the 2012 Olympic gold medalist United States Rowing team, the London Rowing Club and defending national champion Virginia.
AS A FRESHMAN: Competed with the second varsity eight boat for the Irish ... earned first monogram ... named BIG EAST Crew of the Week (March 29) ... won all three of her races at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite, beating Alabama (6:43.60), Minnesota and Kansas (6:33.00), and Tennessee (6:29.60) ... competed against Ohio State while posting a time of 6:44.25 ... beat Indiana, Louisville, and Purdue with a time of 6:34.66 ... rowed to victory over Clemson (6:42.50), and Penn and San Diego (6:50.20) at the Virginia Invite, while placing second to Virginia by 1.8 seconds in the second race of the day (6:48.80) ... finished second against USC (6:40.10), but rallied later in the day to defeat Stanford with a time of 6:37.80 at the Stanford Women's Invitational ... qualified for the second varsity eight grand final with a 22 second victory over Louisville (6:40.10) at the BIG EAST Invite, then defeated them again in the grand final with a time of 6:47.40 ... won by nine seconds in the prelims of the BIG EAST Championship (6:30.830) ... finished with a victory at the BIG EAST Championship in the second varsity eight grand final, beating rivals Syracuse, Louisville and Connecticut with a time of 6:40.703 ... went to the NCAA Championships with the second varsity eight boat, placing fifth (7:00.60) in the prelims, and fourth (7:01.08) in the repechage to ualify for the third final ... won the third final behind a 6:47.00 time, beating Cornell, Michigan State and Harvard to conclude 13th overall among the 16-boat field.
