AS A FRESHMAN: Rowed with the second novice eight boat for the beginning of the spring season ... earned a pair of third-place finishes against Buffalo, stopping the clock at 5:36.5 in the first heat and 5:41.2 in the second ... placed third against Michigan and Michigan State with a time of 7:35.3 ... knocked off Purdue the next day with a time of 8:02.8 ... also rowed with a novice four boat against Buffalo and Purdue, earning the victory with a mark of 9:00.5 ... raced with a novice eight boat in a time-trial run on the St. Joseph River ... the boat, coxed by Kerry Casey, completed the course in a time of 16:02.20 ... named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
