IN THE FALL: Is a co-captain with senior teammate Natalie Ladine for the 2003-04 season ... rowed as part of the first varsity eight in the fall season ... crew placed fourth at the Head of the Rock and 29th at the Head of the Charles.

AS A JUNIOR: Earned her second monogram for the Irish in 2002-03 as a member of the second varsity eight ... was a member of the 2003 BIG EAST Academic All-Star team ... sat in the third seat for all of spring ... placed sixth in the grand finals at the Central Regions in 6:42.50 ... participated in the prestigious Erickson Memorial Cascade Cup race in Seattle, placing fourth behind nationally-ranked Washington, Washington State and Oregon State ... won a gold medal in the second varsity eight at the BIG EAST Rowing Challenge outdistancing Syracuse by over eight seconds ... was one of three crews to claim a gold medal at the BIG EAST regatta helping the Irish to a second-place overall finish ... also recorded victories against Dayton, nationally-ranked Iowa, Purdue, Indiana, Michigan and Clemson ... rowed bow seat of the first varsity eight for the fall season ... finished second to Iowa in the season opener at the Milwaukee River Challenge ... won first place at home against Kansas ... placed third at the Head of the Rock, missing second by less than a second ... also rowed in the pairs race with Natalie Ladine at the Head of the Rock, finishing seventh ... raced with Sarah Keefer in the pairs race at the Head of the Grand, placing third ... varsity eight was fourth at the Head of the Ohio in 15:05.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Earned her first monogram with the Irish in the 2001-02 season ... moved from the novice team to the second varsity eight for the 2001-02 season ... sat in the two seat for most of the spring season ... finished second in heats, third in semifinals, and fifth in finals at Central Regions ... placed first in heats and second in finals at BIG EAST ... came in second out of four boats at the Indiana Crew Classic ... placed third in its heat and sixth in finals at San Diego ... sat bow seat against Tennessee, coming in first ... rowed in the fourth seat of the second boat at the Milwaukee River Challenge, placing third ... moved to the second seat of the second boat at the Chicago Chase and the Head of the Rock ... was second at the Chicago Chase and seventh at the Head of the Rock .. also rowed stroke for the second varsity four at the Chicago Chase and the Head of the Rock, finishing third and fifth, respectively.

AS A FRESHMAN: Was a member of the novice roster for the 2000-01 season ... raced in the seventh seat of the first novice eight at the Head of the Elk ... placed fifth in the race also competed in the open eight race, finishing 23rd ... won spring opener against Tennessee in the first novice eight ... also won at Michigan State and Dayton ... won at Indiana Cup, outdistancing the field by almost eight seconds ... won its heat at the Midwest Rowing Championship before the finals were cancelled due to inclement weather ... novice eight lost its first race of the season at the BIG EAST Rowing Challenge, finishing second by less than a second to Georgetown ... placed third in its petite final heat at the Central Region.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Was a three-sport athlete at Merion Mercy Academy playing soccer, tennis and swimming ... lettered 11 times ... one of four children for Deborah and Dennis Welsh ... brother Peter Welsh plays football for Catholic University ... born June 2, 1981 ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters, majoring in pre-professional studies and political science ... has an overall grade-point average of 3.358 ... was a member of the Dean's List five times in seven semesters at Notre Dame.
