PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Freshman forward Meotis Erikson has been named BIG EAST offensive player of the week after scoring both game-winning goals in Notre Dame women's soccer team's wins over Seton Hall and Connecticut. Against the Pirates, she scored her second consecutive hat trick, scoring the game's first two goals on her first two shots of the game. She also had two assists against Seton Hall for an eight-point performance in the 7-1 win.
Against Connecticut, Erikson score the game's only goal to clinch the regular season title for the Irish, who are ranked second in the country with a 16-0-1 and a perfect 10-0-0 in the BIG EAST.
