The National Champion women's soccer team got together one last time on Friday, May 13, when it traveled to Washington, D.C., to visit the White House as one of four national-championship squads to be recognized by President George W. Bush.

California Congressman and Notre Dame graduate Daniel Lungren ('68) formally welcomes the Notre Dame contingent to the morning breakfast. The Notre Dame contingent toured many of The Capitol building's sites, including the National Statuary Hall (The Old Hall of the House). The Capitol Rotunda Dome includes a striking combination of sculpture, artwork and architecture. The intricately-detailed top of the Capitol Rotunda Dome.
