The National Champion women's soccer team got together one last time on Friday, May 13, when it traveled to Washington, D.C., to visit the White House as one of four national-championship squads to be recognized by President George W. Bush.

The four teams were able to watch The President's departure from the White House terrace, near the East Room.

Indiana natives Susan Pinnick (left) and Amber McMillin found a vantage point at the edge of the terrace.

The President's helicopter transport made a windy, noisy and impressive landing on the White House lawn.

The White House visit was the final official event as Notre Dame women's soccer players for departing seniors (from left) Melissa Tancredi, Kate Tulisiak, Mary Boland, Gudrun Gunnarsdottir and Sarah Halpenny.

The Irish team had some private moments with the President in the State Dining Room before entering the formal ceremony.
