Jarrah Myers is one of many softball student-athletes to stand out for both her academic prowess and athletic talent. Raised in Carbondale, Kan., she set numerous school all-time career records during her time catching behind the plate and at third-base.

Myers ranks first all-time at Notre Dame in home runs (36) and putouts (1,337). She is second with 245 career games, fourth in walks (76), and has the fifth-highest batting average in program history (.350). She ranks in the top 10 in stolen bases (7th - 43), triples (8th - 8) and at-bats (9th - 714). During her senior season, Myers led the BIG EAST in six statistical categories: batting average (.462), home runs (8 - at the time, a league record), runs scored (23), RBI (23), on-base percentage (.559) and slugging percentage (.962). That same season, she had a fielding percentage of .992, third-highest on the team.

Myers was named the 2002 BIG EAST Player of the Year, and garnered numerous other accolades. She was named the 2002 BIG EAST Women's Scholar-Athlete of the Year (for all sports), and was a two-time first-team Verizon/CoSIDA Academic All-America® selection (2001, 2002). She was also named the 2002 Verizon/CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team Member of the Year, and became the fourth Irish softball player to earn Notre Dame's highest athletic honor, the Byron V. Kanaley Award in 2002. Myers was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Year in 1999, and earned the 2002 Notre Dame Monogram Club Team MVP and Rockne Student-Athlete Award three times from 2000-02.

Myers also was selected to the 2001 U.S. National Team, and closed out her career with two consecutive NFCA/Louisville Slugger All-America citations.

Myers graduated from Notre Dame in 2002 with her bachelor's degree in environmental science. She currently serves as a criminalist with the Kansas City (Mo.) Police Department.
