(Feb. 18) ... goes down in Irish history as the first
player to record a hit and drive in a run at Melissa

... recorded a team-best batting average (.429), slugging

RBI total (4) over the four-game stretch at the
Kajikawa Classic (Feb. 15-17) ... totaled 10 bases at
the tournament and had multi-hit performances in a
6-5 loss to Western Kentucky (Feb. 16) and a 4-3 win
over California (Feb. 17) in front of her hometown
crowd ... against the Golden Bears, she recorded a
two-run homer to put Notre Dame on the board
early in the contest, and then knocked a walk-off
double to drive in the game-winning run in the bottom
of the seventh inning ... two doubles highlighted
her 3-for-4 day at the plate and gave her the program's
all-time career record by bringing her twobagger
total to 50 during Notre Dame's win at UC
Riverside (March 4) ... her record-setting double in
the fifth inning traveled to left-center to score Beth
Northway ... Laing also led the team with three RBI
against the Aggies ... had two triples, two doubles and
seven RBI at the Lowcountry Collegiate Softball
Invitational (March 14-15), including four RBI
against Charleston Southern on the tournament's
opening day ... part of the league's weekly honor roll
after finishing a perfect 2-for-2 at the dish against
Western Michigan (March 18) and was the lone
player on either team to record more than one hit in
the game ... she singled in her first at-bat then belted
a solo homer to deep centerfield during her second
plate appearance ... copped the conference's player of
the week award on April 17, the same week Brittney
Bargar was tagged the league's top pitcher... it was the
only time during the season that two teammates
swept the awards ... she earned the honor for the second
time with an explosive offensive output that
helped Notre Dame improve to 22-10 overall and 5-
1 in BIG EAST play ... went 10-for-19 with 13 RBI,
five runs, four home runs and one double for a .526
batting average and a 1.211 slugging percentage from

four multi-hit and multi-RBI games on the week,

Seton Hall (April 6) ... she was a perfect 3-for-3 from
the plate in Notre Dame's 2-1 victory over Toledo

two RBI and a run scored ... as of April 10, 19 of her
39 hits had gone for extra-bases ... her 10 doubles,
three triples, and six homers steered her towards a
.676 slugging percentage ... at the time the mark
ranked as the highest single-season average in school
history, standing on top of Melanie Alkire's .665 mark
set in 2000 ... heading into the home conference
opener (April 9) she had racked up 39 RBI on 39 hits
... closed out her home career with a hit and two runs

BIG EAST performer ... started all 63 games for the

bases (8) ... had a team-high 205 at-bats ... on opening
day, finished 2-for-2 with a run scored and one
stolen base against BYU (Feb. 17) ... ended up 2-for-
4 with a run scored and a double against UNLV (Feb.
18) ... crushed her first home run of the season
against Cal State Fullerton (Feb. 19) ... also went 2-
for-3 with an RBI against Florida International (Feb.
24) ... 2-for-3 with a double against No. 10 Arizona
State (March 16) ... finished 1-for-3 with a two-run
home run against No. 4 Texas (March 18) at the Judi
Garman Classic ... 2-for-3 with a double, triple and
three RBI in game one of an April 1 doubleheader
with Connecticut ... the Irish would go on to blank
