AS A SENIOR (2009-10): Concludes her Notre
Dame career as one of the most prolific 100 back-
strokers in program history ... holds the second
and third fastest 100 back times in school history
... raced to a fourth-place finish in the 100 back
at the BIG EAST Championships in a time of 55.46
... her performance was an NCAA B-cut time ...
touched the pad in a time of 2:00.32 for a sev-
enth-placed showing in the 200 back at the
league meet ... sprinted to a time of 24.27 in the
50 free in the preliminary session of the champi-
onship meet ... all her performances at the
league meet were season-best times ... com-
peted in eight backstroke events throughout the
dual meet season ... shaved over 11 seconds off
her 200 back time over the course of the season.
AS A JUNIOR (2008-09): Turned in her best
season to date with the Irish ... started off the BIG
EAST Championships with a career-best 23.68 in
the 50 free ... raced to a career-best swim of
1:58.57 in the 200 back ... went on to finals of the
200 back (1:59.10) and finished sixth ... became
the fastest Irish swimmer ever in the 100 back
(54.11) to break the school record while finishing
second overall at the league meet ... member of
the 400 medley relay (3:26.20) squad that set
conference and Notre Dame records with a first-
place finish ... placed second with the 200 free
relay team in 1:31.01 at the BIG EAST meet to set
another Notre Dame record ... earned three all-
league citations ... represented Notre Dame and
swam the 100 back at the 2009 World
Championships Trials in Indianapolis, Ind.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2007-08): Swam the 100
back at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials ... placed third
in the 100 back (55.54) at the BIG EAST
Championships ... finished fourth in the 200 back
(1:59.49) at the league meet with an NCAA B-cut
performance ... sprinted against Pittsburgh and
covered the 50 free in 25.30 ... fastest time in the
100 free was 54.10, clocked during the Shamrock
Invitational ... that was an improvement on her
first try in the event during the Husky Invitational
(56.46) ... her top two times in the 100 back during
the regular season came during the Husky
Invitational (58.25 and 58.59) ... swam the 100
back on 11 occasions throughout the season ...
top two times in the 200 back prior to the confer-
ence meet came at the Irish Invitational (2:07.81)
and Shamrock Invitational (2:08.16) ... topped out
in the 100 breast (1:07.16) against Toledo ...
shaved over seven seconds off her best 200 IM
mark throughout the course of the season, going
from 2:16.35 (Miami) to 2:09.32 (Irish Invitational)
... named team's most improved swimmer.
AS A FRESHMAN (2006-07): Placed fifth at BIG
EAST Championships in the 200 back... was sixth
in 100 back at conference meet ... ended the sea-
son with the fastest time in the 200 back for the
Irish ... was third-fastest for the Irish in the 50 and
100 back.
THE BEHRENS FILE: A two-time Indiana high school state runner-up
in the 100 back ... two-time Munster (Ind.) team
captain and four-time Munster Seashore team
MVP ... USA Swimming Scholastic All-American ...
NISCA high school Academic All-American ... a
junior national qualifier in backstroke events ...
sported a perfect 4.0 grade-point average on four
