AS A SENIOR (2009-10): Ended her Notre
Dame career as one of the fastest individual med-
ley swimmers in program history, holding the
sixth fastest 200 IM and tenth fastest 400 IM times
in Irish history ... stands as the third fastest 200
and 400 IMer in school history as well as the fifth
fastest performer in the 200 breast in team his-
tory ... recorded two personal-best times (200
IM, 200 breast) at the BIG EAST Championships
and earned two all-conference honors ... perfor-
mances included a second-place finish in the 200
IM (2:00.70), a third-place finish in the 400 IM
(4:16.93) and fifth-place finish in the 200 breast
(2:15.77) all three swims were NCA B-cut times ...
notched a personal-best time in the 100 breast at
the Shamrock Invitational with a time of 1:06.69
... paced herself to a time of 10:20.60 in the 1,000
free in early season action against Purdue ... took
home gold in the 200 IM and bronze in the 400
IM at the Hoosierland Invitational to conclude the
first half of the season schedule ... was a team
captain for the Irish in her final season.
AS A JUNIOR (2008-09): Had a career meet at
the BIG EAST Championships ... began the confer-
ence showdown in grand fashion by racing to the
400 IM (4:15.17) title ... the effort made her the
third fastest all-time Irish swimmer in the event ...
put up a good showing in her 200 IM with a
2:01.05 in prelims and a 2:01.77 in the finals to
finish fourth overall ... took fifth in the finals with a
2:16.41 in the 200 breast ... registered a 10:19.66 in
the 1,000 free against Louisville.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2007-08): Represented
Notre Dame at the U.S. Olympic Trials, taking part
in the 400 IM and 200 IM ... nine-time participant
in 200 back races throughout the year ... her
quickest time was registered during the BIG EAST
Championships (2:08.34) ... top 200 IM (2:03.26)
time came during the conference meet, as did
her fastest 400 IM (4:20.67) performance to finish
fourth.
AS A FRESHMAN (2006-07): Had an outstand-
ing freshman season for the Irish ... took the 200
IM title at the BIG EAST Championships with a
career-best time of 2:02.08, shattering her prep-
best time of 2:04.15 ... also earned All-BIG EAST
honors in the 400 IM with her third place finish
and career-best time of 4:18.45 ... finished the
conference meet with a 17th-place finish in the
200 back ... second fastest on the season for the
Irish in the 200 and 400 IM ... given the Beeler-
Hipp award at the end of the season.
THE EDGELL FILE: Team captain for the 2009-10 season ... eleven-
time all-state selection ... Ohio state record-holder
in the 200 IM ... Madeira (Ohio) school record
holder in the 200 IM, 100 free, 100 back and 200
medley relay ... three-time Ohio state champion
in the 200 IM ... an All-American in both her junior
and senior seasons in the 200 IM after being an
honorable mention All-American as a sophomore
... NISCA high school All-American ... greater
Cincinnati Enquirer Swimmer of the Year as a
sophomore ... greater Cincinnati Enquirer All-Star
all four years ... league's breaststroke champion
her freshman and sophomore seasons ... the
league's Swimmer of the Year each of her first
three seasons ... swam for the Cincinnati Marlins
club team for six seasons ... U.S. Open Qualifier ...

for all four years in high school, serving as team
captain her senior season ... named the Most
