The Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams began the 2010-2011 season by hosting the 2010 Dennis Stark Relays.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Specialized in the 50, 100 and 200 backstrokes and the 100 butterfly ... participated at the NCAA Championships ... saved best performances for BIG EAST Championships, swimming season bests in all four events and winning BIG EAST titles in the 400 medley relay and the 100 and 200 back ... won the 100 and 200 back for the second year in a row ... also earned All-BIG EAST honors in the 200 medley relay and the 100 butterfly ... winning times were 52.99 in the 100 back, 1:55.18 in the 200 back and a season-best 3:35.89 in the 400 medley relay ... swam lead leg in the 400 medley relay in helping the Irish set a new BIG EAST meet record (3:35.89) ... time in the 100 back marked the first time in the league's history a swimmer had cracked the 53 second mark in the event ... broke own school record in the 200 back to secure fourth individual BIG EAST crown in two years ... swam 53.83 in the 100 butterfly to place second ... swam opening leg of 200 medley relay as team finished second in a season-best and NCAA B-cut time of 1:38.97 ... competed at the NCAA National Championships in the 100 fly, 100 back and 200 back ... placed 25th in the 100 back (53.54) and 46th in the 100 fly (54.13) ... swam 1:55.76 in the prelims of the 200 back ... finished seventh in the 200 back B-final (1:58.67) at the U.S. Short Course Nationals ... also placed fifth in the C-final of the 100 fly (54.86), seventh in the 200 back (1:58.67) B-final and ninth in the 100 back B-final (54.89) ... swam the lead leg to help the 200 medley relay team to fifth place (1:40.85) ... won the 100 (55.93) and 200 (2:00.20) backs in a meet versus Michigan and Northwestern ... also finished third in the 100 fly (56.28) at the same meet ... tied for third in the 100 backstroke (57.42) in a meet against LSU and Auburn ... also placed third in the 200 backstroke (2:01.21) in the same meet ... won the 100 backstroke (57.68) in a dual meet versus Michigan State ... won the 200 back (1:59.89) in a dual meet versus Purdue ... also took second in the 100 back (56.69) and 100 fly (56.16) in same meet ... won the 100 (56.53) and 200 (2:03.05) backstroke events in a dual meet versus Utah ... won the 100 (55.82) and 200 (1:59.82) back events and took second in the 100 fly (56.35) at the Shamrock Invitational ... only swimmer to break one minute in the 100 back (56.16) in a dual meet versus Ball State ... earned a Monogram and named the Monogram Club's MVP ... also received the Notre Dame Club of St. Joseph Valley Rockne Student-Athlete award.
AS A FRESHMAN: Broke out onto the BIG EAST scene with four BIG EAST titles and six all-BIG EAST honors in her freshman campaign ... set school records in both the 100 back and 200 back at the league meet with times of 53.88 and 1:55.79, respectively ... both performances were NCAA B-cuts as well as first-place finishes ... finished in second in the 100 fly with an NCAA B-cut time of 54.12 ... the time was the fastest of any Irish swimmer on the season ... was a member of the victorious 200 and 400 medley relay at the league meet as well as the third-place 400 free relay ... member of the 200 medley relay that broke the Rolf's Aquatic pool record against Louisville with a time of 1:42.61 ... sprinted to a time of 24.30 at the Hoosierland Invitational for her top time on the season ... lead off a 400 free Irish relay at the invitational for a personal-best time of 52.62 ... claimed the top six 100 back, five 200 back, and two 100 fly times on the season ... swam both the 100 and 200 back in every meet she swam in for a total of 14 backstroke swims on the season.
