Josh Skube is in his fourth season working with the women's swimming and diving program at Notre Dame. Skube assists head coach Bailey Weathers and assistant coach Anne Marie Stricklin in all aspects of the Irish swimming and diving program.

A graduate of Indiana University in 1998, Skube was a member of the Ball State swimming team from 1994-96. A member of the American College of Sport Medicine, Skube earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and a master's degree in exercise physiology from Indiana. He also has been published in Swim Technique magazine.

Known for his deep technical knowledge of the sport, Skube has served as assistant coach of Bloomington North High School from 1999-2000 and the Duneland Swim Club from 1995-97 during his career.

Skube is also a starting his fourth year as a faculty member in the physical education department at Notre Dame.

A distance freestyle specialist, Skube is from near-by Chesterton, Ind., and attended Chesterton High School. Chesterton won the Duneland Conference title his junior and senior season while Skube was named team most valuable swimmer both seasons.

Skube comes from a family with strong Notre Dame roots. His father Thomas (`70), uncle Charles (`60) and cousins Mara (`86) and Steve (`90) are all graduates of Notre Dame.

Born Nov. 30, 1975, in Crown Point, Ind., Skube and his wife, Susan, live in South Bend with their one-year-old daughter, Ivie.
