NOTRE DAME, Ind.- The No. 19 Notre Dame women's swimming and diving team (4-0) had a solid first day at the Michigan Invitational, against a pair of higher ranked opponents, on Friday, Jan. 12. The women scored 376 points to place second behind No. 13 Indiana's 405 points and ahead of No. 10 Michigan's 331 points and Illinois' 128 points.

Caroline Johnson was also part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team, along with Carroll, Christa Riggins (Phoenix, Ariz./Sunnyslope) and Rebecca Grove (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) that placed third in the event in a school season-best time of 1:34.19.

The Irish trio of Caroline Johnson, Carroll and Riggins continued their busy meet by teaming up with senior Julia Quinn (Evanston, Ill./Evanston) to place second in the 400-yard medley relay in their time of 3:47.78.
