ANN ARBOR, Mich.- Notre Dame's Tiffany Robak (Milwaukee, Wis./Pius XI) finished 28th and Natalie Stitt (Holland, Mich./West Ottawa) finished 40th in the three-meter springboard after the first day of the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships on Friday, March 2 in Ann Arbor, Mich. at the Canham Natatorium. The duo will return to the pool tomorrow for the one-meter diving preliminaries and finals. The Zone meet determines who qualifies for the 2007 NCAA Championships.

Robak finished 28th in the preliminaries with her total of 216 points while Stitt tallied 171.65 point s to place 40th.

Indiana's Christina Louka won the three-meter diving with 726.40 points. There are four additional zone diving competitions this weekend from which the top-35 men and 41 women nationally will advance to the NCAA Championships being held from March 8-10 in Minneapolis, Minn.. The Zone C competition encompasses approximately 84 divers and 17 schools in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Divers will qualify for the NCAA Championships based on their finish at the zone meet. It is a head-to-head competition from which the top-nine women across the three combined events from Zone C will advance. Saturday events will include the one-meter diving preliminaries and finals.
