NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Fresh off their recent BIG EAST championship meet success, the Notre Dame men's and women's swimming squads play host to the Shamrock Classic, February 26-27 at the Rolfs Aquatic Center.

Preliminaries begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday, while the finals start at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday. Teams competing at this weekend's meet include Notre Dame (men and women), West Virginia (men and women), Pittsburgh (women), Eastern Michigan (men), Miami of Ohio (men), Lewis University (men and women), Indianapolis University (men and women) and Grand Valley State (men).

The Shamrock Classic serves as a last-chance meet for swimmers to qualify for the NCAA championships. The men's NCAA division I championships is scheduled for March 23-25 in Minneapolis, Minn., while the women's meet is March 16-18 in Indianapolis, Ind.
