Notre Dame Freshman Advances to Finals at William & Mary
WIILIAMSBURG, Va. - University of Notre Dame freshman Kelly Zalinski advanced to the finals of the C Flight at the William & Mary Invitational on Saturday with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 win over Carolijn van Rossum of William & Mary. Zalinski will play Emily Woodside of Tennessee in the finals on Sunday.
In other Irish action on Saturday, sophomore Jennifer Hall lost in the semifinals of the A Flight, senior Tiffany Gates lost in the semifinals of the B Flight, freshman Sarah Scaringe lost in the semifinals of the D Flight.
In doubles play, senior Erin Gowen and Hall will play in the consolation finals of the A flight on Sunday against a team from Maryland.
