No. 11 Irish Tennis Falls to No. 15 Vanderbilt
MADISON, Wis. - The University of Notre Dame women's tennis team
ranked No. 11 in the country, dropped its final match of the USTA/ITA
Women's National Indoor Championship with a 5-0 loss to No. 15
Vanderbilt. Notre Dame finishes 1-2 in the tournament, defeating
Alabama and losing to Pepperdine.
Vanderbilt won the doubles point
and then clinched the victory with wins at Nos. 1, 2, 4 and 5. The
Irish drop to 5-3 on the year, while Vanderbilt improves to 8-3.
